Zendo is conceptually very successful, since it conjures the whiteness of a glass of cold milk. Powdered almonds touched by the green accent have a dry quality at first, however the composition soon sweetens as the floral notes bloom in the heart. The outcome is an elegant and interesting rose fragrance, steering clear both of the sentimentality associated with rose and of the aloof austerity attributed to chypre. While Zendo is a more innovative take on rose, Zendo might be a more wearable option for those to be too dark and earthy.
